Wedding Scrapbook (Part 2)

It took a while to finally get started on it, but now that I am started I am really enjoying scrapbooking. It's a fun way to pass the time and remember great memories all made possible by the love and support of our family. I haven't said it enough, but both Peter and I are so grateful for everyone that was able to make it and for all those that thought of us and supported us even if they couldn't make it here. Well here are a few more pages that I have done this week... let me know what you think?

October Fun!

I love pumpkin pie and we love making it out of an actual pumpkin so since we both had the day off we decided to make it a day of cooking.

First thing this morning I actually had a dentist appointment (we are finally taking advantage of our dental coverage that we get through Peter's work. I need a lot of work and its a good thing we have such great coverage and I can get all the work I need done(:

Then we went to Walmart and got all the stuff we needed to make fudge and pumpkin pie. Got this big pumpkin pie for only $3.00.

After cleaning out the seeds and before cutting it up to cook we decided to have a little fun with Zoey and Patches.

I cant wait for the pumpkin pie to be done! (:

Decisions, Decisions

So I have been thinking a lot lately about school and the degree I am heading towards and although I am still not ruling out a daycare/preschool I felt like it just didn't give me very many options. After lots of thinking and praying and exploring I have decided to change from a Child Development Major with a minor in Professional Preschool education to a Child Development Major with two clusters in Photography and Entrepreneurship. I think that this will give me more options to do stuff with and I have always loved photography so it will be interesting to explore a little more into it and have some fun too! Plus having a little background in business (entrepreneurship) will be a positive since I was looking into starting my own preschool which I could still do since I will still have the child development background or starting my own photography business. Overall I decided that this is what I want to do and I am pretty excited about it. Since I never was exactly sure what I wanted to do I think that this degree with give me a few more options.

Payless

I just saw this quote and it made me laugh and think about my job. Although its not my career I do really like my job. The discount on shoes is pretty nice too(: When I first got the job I wasn't sure to take it because it was only part time and I knew I needed to work more, but so far it has actually worked out pretty well and I get around 30 hours which is good (compared to the 10-15 I thought I was going to get).

A little celebration..

We have been really busy lately and we havent really had the same day off in a while. This week we both were supposed to have Friday off, but then because of a fundraiser that Peter volunteered to help with that his work was doing for the domestic violence center of Idaho he had to work friday. So peter said that since he had to work that day he would make it up by taking me out to dinner that night. Also we found out that peter got and incentive bonus on his last two checks because of how good he has been doing. After he got home from work we went out to Chili's for dinner and then stopped at walmart for dessert and a movie. Unfortunately we didnt take any pictures of us. Darn!

If you notice my ice cream choice -Haagen Dazs Dulce De Leche (: However, Peter says I'm a traitor to Ben & Jerry's. I made him try it though and although it doesnt want to admit it he likes it too.

Fourth of July

Peter and I both had to work in the afternoon, but I got home by 3pm and Peter got home by 7pm. After he got home we had some dinner and then went and let off a few fireworks, but since it wasn't dark yet we decided to wait til after the fireworks show to do ours. Apparently Idaho Falls has a firework show that they call "the best west of the Mississippi" aka Melaleuca , not sure if that's true haha. Luckily from where we live all we had to do was grab a few chairs and set up on our side yard to see the show. It was a really cool fireworks show and lit lasted over a half hour and they also had a radio station that broadcasted music to go along with the fireworks.

Me and Zoey enjoying the fireworks(:

Peter wouldnt SMILE!
haha I caught a smile
It just wouldn't be the same without sparklers! and we were able to get the cool metal ones(:

New Addition to our Family

So some people may think we are crazy, but we talked about it and its what I really wanted and luckily I have a husband who lets me get what I want. haha We have been thinking about it for a while now and I really wanted a dog. Peter got his dog (which of course he is my dog and I love him too!), but I really wanted small female dog and I found her! We had been searching craigslist, the animal shelter and even went to the Pet store on a few Saturdays when they had dogs available for adoption. We had found some cute ones, but none of them worked out. Then we finally found our girl at the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter. She is a Yorkshire terrier mix that was left in the drop box. She is two years old, potty trained and so adorable! We brought her home and immediately her and Patches got along great! They already love each other and play together all the time. We are really excited to have her and she has already got pretty attached to me and Peter (especially me haha) I just love how she follows me on the house and will just sit in my lap or next to me, but she also loves to play(:

I decided to name her ZOEY(:

New Job!

I got the Job!! Pretty excited about it, but also kinda nervous. So I start working at Payless Shoe Source on Wednesday. Its only part-time and not supper great pay, but it something for now. I am still looking for a job in childcare and hoping I can find something better eventually. I also got CPR certified last weekend so that is a great step forward. I am just so grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to it.

Yum!

This last Friday (Peter's day off) I woke up and was getting ready to go to school when I heard Peter in the Kitchen and was surprised because he was up pretty early (especially for a day off). He surprised me with making me a wonderful breakfast(: He is the best husband ever and I really do appreciate everything he does! He is such a hard worker and I am grateful that he is there for me when I need him(:

Speaking of food Peter found this cool recipe on Pinterest and since he knows how much I LOVE rice krispies he suggested we try it. So we went up to the store bought the ingredients and make funfetti rice krispies. Basically its just like rice krispies, but when your done melting the marshmallows you add some DRY cake batter. I think on Pinterest it said add yellow cake, but we added funfetti and it worked out great. Then after they are in the pan we had some sprinkles so we decided to add a little extra. It was really good! Now we want to try it with other cake mixes ... chocolate? I think yes!

On the road again

After dealing with all the car problems we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make it, but luckily it all worked out and so Friday after class we headed down to my grandparents house in Utah. My cousin Kelby was getting married on June 9th to Brooke. It was a long drive, but I am really glad we were able to make it. We even brought Patches with us and he loved it(:

It was a really nice outdoor ceremony and unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, but hopefully Ill get some eventually. Peter and I got put in charge of video/pictures during the ceremony (there was a professional too, but we were just extras haha) I got a nice sunburn (tan) on my arms. It was a really fun weekend and nice to get away for a little.

Congratulations Kelby and Brooke!

I did get one picture! Before we headed back on the road my Grandparents took us out to breakfast at Denny's.

Good News!

Well possibly good news... last Thursday Payless Shoe Source called me in for an interview and I even had a second interview on Friday(: Now just waiting to hear back and hoping I get the job. An ideal job would be working with children to get some experience, but at this point Id take what I can get so we can get a savings going. Plus I have to get CPR certified and get a child care licence before I can work at a daycare or preschool, but I am registered for a CPR course and maybe after I get that I will have better luck. Who knows whats gonna happen, but I hope I am able to find something so I will have a job over the summer so we can hopefully get a savings started and for money for school.  In the meantime I am pretty excited because this weekend we are going to head down to Utah to visit my grandparents and for my cousin Kelby's Wedding. I am so happy and excited for them and I am happy that we are going to be able to go(:

Cars, cars, cars

Cars are so stressful and drive me crazy! Things could go wrong at any moment... With mine and Peter's schedule being so opposite and crazy it was such a blessing to have two cars. We were lucky enough to find a car for pretty cheap and then my dad was nice enough to give me the truck. But, sadly one day on our way home from the dog-park we pulled up to the house and the truck died.. of course. Well at least it happened right in front of the house. We tried figuring out what was wrong and was hoping it was an easy fix, but every time we tried to have someone look at it it would mysteriously start up and then later when we would try it again it wouldn't start again. So we decided to just try and post it on craigslist and see what happened. After just a couple hours we got tons of replies and ended up just selling it 'as is' to someone who wanted to fix it up. Then we were able to find a cheap Bronco on craigslist and we are back on track. I am so happy every thing worked out, even through all the stress.

How's married life?

It't pretty funny how this is the most common question I get lately. Well its great! We have settled down after all the crazy wedding stuff and I'm back into school. I'm also trying to find a job so we have some saving money. Just enjoying starting and ending my days with my husband. Its still a little weird to think about it.

These last few weeks have gone by pretty fast ... But at the same time it feels like we haven't done much. Maybe we are just boring haha.

We both love movies so we watch movies all the time. A few weeks ago we saw The Pirates! Band of Misfits in 3D and it was pretty good. Peter loves the claymation style of movies so we really wanted to see it in theaters. We also went and saw the Avengers! It was such an awesome movie ... I don't know all the stories behind the superheros, but I still loved it!

Hmmmm ... besides movies we went up to a lake yesterday (I really need to get better at taking more pictures). We took Patches and just enjoyed the sun for a few hours.

This weekend we also decided to change things up a little and I thought it would be fun to go blonde! Well i guess you could call it blonde haha It may not have turned out exactly like I was hoping, but I actually really like it. Peter also decided to go dark haha So we are still opposites. Oh and he has been growing the beard out lately (like my dad would say, embracing his pioneer heritage lol)  I'll have to post some pictures later. For now I better get back to doing dishes so we can make dinner when Peter gets home from work(:

My first project is a birthday board (will post pictures when its done) Then I am going to start on a scrapbook for the wedding and that we can continue to add to. I am so excited and cant wait to get crafty. Anyone have any ideas of fun things to make?
