New Addition to our Family

So some people may think we are crazy, but we talked about it and its what I really wanted and luckily I have a husband who lets me get what I want. haha We have been thinking about it for a while now and I really wanted a dog. Peter got his dog (which of course he is my dog and I love him too!), but I really wanted small female dog and I found her! We had been searching craigslist, the animal shelter and even went to the Pet store on a few Saturdays when they had dogs available for adoption. We had found some cute ones, but none of them worked out. Then we finally found our girl at the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter. She is a Yorkshire terrier mix that was left in the drop box. She is two years old, potty trained and so adorable! We brought her home and immediately her and Patches got along great! They already love each other and play together all the time. We are really excited to have her and she has already got pretty attached to me and Peter (especially me haha) I just love how she follows me on the house and will just sit in my lap or next to me, but she also loves to play(:

I decided to name her ZOEY(:

New Job!

I got the Job!! Pretty excited about it, but also kinda nervous. So I start working at Payless Shoe Source on Wednesday. Its only part-time and not supper great pay, but it something for now. I am still looking for a job in childcare and hoping I can find something better eventually. I also got CPR certified last weekend so that is a great step forward. I am just so grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to it.

Yum!

This last Friday (Peter's day off) I woke up and was getting ready to go to school when I heard Peter in the Kitchen and was surprised because he was up pretty early (especially for a day off). He surprised me with making me a wonderful breakfast(: He is the best husband ever and I really do appreciate everything he does! He is such a hard worker and I am grateful that he is there for me when I need him(:

Speaking of food Peter found this cool recipe on Pinterest and since he knows how much I LOVE rice krispies he suggested we try it. So we went up to the store bought the ingredients and make funfetti rice krispies. Basically its just like rice krispies, but when your done melting the marshmallows you add some DRY cake batter. I think on Pinterest it said add yellow cake, but we added funfetti and it worked out great. Then after they are in the pan we had some sprinkles so we decided to add a little extra. It was really good! Now we want to try it with other cake mixes ... chocolate? I think yes!

On the road again

After dealing with all the car problems we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make it, but luckily it all worked out and so Friday after class we headed down to my grandparents house in Utah. My cousin Kelby was getting married on June 9th to Brooke. It was a long drive, but I am really glad we were able to make it. We even brought Patches with us and he loved it(:

It was a really nice outdoor ceremony and unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, but hopefully Ill get some eventually. Peter and I got put in charge of video/pictures during the ceremony (there was a professional too, but we were just extras haha) I got a nice sunburn (tan) on my arms. It was a really fun weekend and nice to get away for a little.

Congratulations Kelby and Brooke!

I did get one picture! Before we headed back on the road my Grandparents took us out to breakfast at Denny's.

Good News!

Well possibly good news... last Thursday Payless Shoe Source called me in for an interview and I even had a second interview on Friday(: Now just waiting to hear back and hoping I get the job. An ideal job would be working with children to get some experience, but at this point Id take what I can get so we can get a savings going. Plus I have to get CPR certified and get a child care licence before I can work at a daycare or preschool, but I am registered for a CPR course and maybe after I get that I will have better luck. Who knows whats gonna happen, but I hope I am able to find something so I will have a job over the summer so we can hopefully get a savings started and for money for school.  In the meantime I am pretty excited because this weekend we are going to head down to Utah to visit my grandparents and for my cousin Kelby's Wedding. I am so happy and excited for them and I am happy that we are going to be able to go(:

Cars, cars, cars

Cars are so stressful and drive me crazy! Things could go wrong at any moment... With mine and Peter's schedule being so opposite and crazy it was such a blessing to have two cars. We were lucky enough to find a car for pretty cheap and then my dad was nice enough to give me the truck. But, sadly one day on our way home from the dog-park we pulled up to the house and the truck died.. of course. Well at least it happened right in front of the house. We tried figuring out what was wrong and was hoping it was an easy fix, but every time we tried to have someone look at it it would mysteriously start up and then later when we would try it again it wouldn't start again. So we decided to just try and post it on craigslist and see what happened. After just a couple hours we got tons of replies and ended up just selling it 'as is' to someone who wanted to fix it up. Then we were able to find a cheap Bronco on craigslist and we are back on track. I am so happy every thing worked out, even through all the stress.
